Schedule: Interns must be available to work full time (80 hrs/2 weeks) from May 13th through the start of the Fall 2019 semester. At the start of the Fall semester (20 hours/2 weeks) may be available depending on employee scheduling.This position will require working at least some weekend, holiday and evening shifts.

Overview:
Interns will work in the interpretation and visitor services division at Pipe Spring National Monument. Significant training will be provided, both at the beginning of the season, and throughout the summer. Housing may be available.
Position Responsibilities:
Pipes Spring National Monument is looking for an intern to fill the role of Marketing Specialist. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing effective marketing strategies, assisting with park development and analyzing the effectiveness of current social media program. Will also provide insight to visitation trends and assist in visitation record data keeping. The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging Pipe Spring’s visitor base, and creating effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of our park. Must be able to gain an in-depth knowledge of the park’s mission, geology, history, plants, and wildlife.
Qualifications:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience speaking to and working with diverse audiences of all ages.
- Must be competent in Microsoft Office, Word Excel, Publisher and Power Point.
- Must be able to work independently.
